Norwich University has appointed alumni David Brigham and Jeffrey Harrington to co-direct the school's Center for Leadership, designed to prepare and educate future leaders. Harrington has also been named professor of practice by the Norwich School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Brigham and Harrington will work with a team to develop curriculum, research best practices, disseminate training through workshops and conferences, and integrate the leadership academies (Government Service Leadership Academy and Global Leadership Academy) within the center.
Brigham previously served as director of the Africa Center for Strategic Studies’ African Military Education Program, which helps its African partner nations develop and improve their Professional Military Education institutions in sub-Saharan Africa. He is a 1988 graduate of Norwich, a 2004 graduate of the Naval War College and is currently pursuing a doctorate in strategic leadership studies at James Madison University.
Harrington is a veteran law enforcement officer with over 35 years of experience in both law enforcement and corrections. He was formerly a chief of police in Florida and currently serves as chief deputy at the Pasco Sheriff's Office, serving a community of over 650,000 residents. He holds both bachelor's and master's degrees from Norwich as well as a doctorate in leadership from Capella University.
