High 5 Adventure Learning Center, a leading organization in adventure education and experiential learning, has appointed Associate Executive Director Jennifer Ottinger to serve as its next executive director. She succeeds Jim Grout, who has transitioned to the role of founding director.
In her new position, Ottinger leads a team of 29 employees, who are based in Brattleboro and work throughout the Northeast. She brings decades of hands-on experience, having spent 22 years with the organization in a wide variety of roles.
Prior to joining High 5, Ottinger held managerial positions at Main Street Design in New Jersey and Pims New York. She is a marketing graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
"Jen's deep commitment to experiential education and her strategic vision and leadership skills make her the ideal candidate to guide High 5 into its next chapter," said High 5 board president Tom Skinner.
Ottinger's predecessor, Grout, played a pivotal role in establishing High 5 and has a deep understanding of the organization's history and mission.
"I am thrilled to be continuing on at High 5 Adventure Learning Center as founding director," Grout said. "I am excited to continue supporting its mission alongside Jen and the dedicated team at High 5."
