Sven Lee, former chief commercial officer at BioCina, an Australia-based contract development and manufacturing organization, and Richard P. Hamel, former chief financial officer at ReciBioPharm, a Sweden-based CDMO, have been appointed to the leadership team at Vernal Biosciences, a leading manufacturing and services company in Colchester. Lee was named chief commercial officer, and Hamel will serve as chief financial officer.
In his new position, Lee will lead the commercial team, including business development, marketing, technical sales and alliance management. He brings to Vernal a 30-year track record achieving remarkable business growth across the biotech and pharma sectors.
As CFO, Hamel will be responsible for Vernal’s finance strategy and will lead the finance organization, including planning, treasury, tax and reporting. He has more than 25 years' experience managing finance teams, improving business performance and developing systems, processes and procedures to streamline operations for high-growth life science companies.
