David E. Peterson has been named special counsel in the trusts and estates group at the Burlington law firm Gravel & Shea, effective Jan. 1. Prior to joining G&S, Peterson spent 15 years with boutique trusts and estates firms in Massachusetts and Vermont.

Peterson is a graduate of UMass Amherst and holds a law degree from Boston College Law School. He has earned bar admission in Vermont and Massachusetts and was listed as a top lawyer for trusts and estates by Boston magazine in 2021 and 2022.
