Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce names new executive director

Havah Armstrong Walther

Havah Armstrong Walther, former executive director of the nonprofit Start Change in White River Junction, has been named executive director of the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. In her new role, Walther will play a pivotal role in the administration of the chamber, the Quechee Gorge Visitor Center and the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival.

“We are delighted to welcome Havah Armstrong Walther as our new executive director,” chamber chair Mary Davidson Graham said. “Her dynamic leadership style, combined with her dedication to community and business development, makes her the ideal candidate to guide the chamber through its next phase of growth.”

Walther is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a master's degree in globalization from Dartmouth College. She currently serves as board chair at the Vermont Association for Mental Health and on the policy committee at the Vermont Council on Developmental Disabilities.

A formal welcome event for Walther is planned during the chamber's annual meeting on Jan. 31. For more information or to RSVP for the meeting, email [email protected] or call 802-295-7900.
