The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies, a Burlington-based nonprofit organization that offers programs and capital funds to select early-stage firms, has promoted Nicole Eaton to marketing and communications manager. Eaton’s promotion recognizes her impactful role as VCET’s marketing associate since August 2022 as well as the organization’s need for additional support as it continues to scale.
“We could not be more excited to bring Nicole on full-time,” said Vice President Sam Roach-Gerber. “For over a year, she has added immeasurable value not only to our team, but to the companies we work with every day. While her marketing and communications skills are of great value, it is her enthusiasm for our mission, positive spirit and unwavering kindness that truly set her apart.”
Amid diverse company investments, co-working operations, podcasts and events, Eaton ensures clear messaging across sectors and channels. Her goal is to provide constant support to Vermont’s most exciting technology startups, while clearly defining VCET’s identity within the startup community and beyond.
As marketing associate, Eaton oversaw social media, hosted informational sessions for student groups, shaped the messaging of various financial and investment reports, and facilitated educational workshops and meetups.
