High school athlete in Maine and UVM basketball recruit will focus on spreading positivity in her community
Vermont Business Magazine Natalie Beaudoin from the Lewiston High School (Lewiston, ME) girls basketball team announced today she has signed a name, image and likeness (NIL) partnership with Aroma Joe's development office of Maine and New Hampshire, which supports the New England-based coffee shop. She will be a community ambassador for the company and will spread positivity by supporting and promoting community events across Maine and New Hampshire.
She will receive compensation for the use of her name, image and likeness, including social media posts and promotional appearances for Aroma Joe's development office of Maine and New Hampshire.
Beaudoin recently received national attention for her idea to create "We Are Lew1ston" shirts to raise awareness and funds for families impacted by the mass shootings in Lewiston on Oct. 25. Her team will also wear warmups this season with the design to remember and raise funds for the families and victims of the mass shootings.
Beaudoin is from Lewiston and recently signed her national letter of intent to play Division 1 basketball at the University of Vermont. As a shooting guard, Beaudoin has earned All-Conference honors three years in a row. She is ranked 20th in New England for class of 2024 by Prep Girls Hoops. She has a 4.0 GPA and ranks 3rd in her high school class.
The NIL partnership was brokered by Pliable Marketing, a Maine-based, marketing company that specializes in athlete branding. The company's list of athlete branding clients includes more than 30 high school, college, and professional athletes from across the country.![]()
Beaudoin, 17, has NIL representation from Pliable Marketing as she pursues her career in basketball and in healthcare.
"I am excited to sign my first NIL partnership with Aroma Joe's because as a Maine-based company, they share the same passion that I have for supporting my community. I love going to Aroma Joe's with my family and friends, so when I found out about this opportunity, I was very excited. Crystal and Aroma Joe's have partnered with some amazing athletes, and I am excited to be part of the team. I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to spreading positivity in Maine and New Hampshire," said Natalie Beaudoin, basketball player at Lewiston High School.
"What Natalie did to support her community by designing and selling t-shirts to support the families was inspiring. In addition to being community-minded, she also excels in the classroom and on the basketball court. She is an outstanding role model in her community and exactly the type of person we were looking to add to our team of community ambassadors. We are proud to be able to partner with Natalie as she pursues her passion to play basketball in college and spread positivity to others. We see this partnership as a slam dunk," said Crystal Brown, community marketing manager for Maine/New Hampshire at Aroma Joe's development office.
The NIL partnership between Natalie Beaudoin and Aroma Joe's development office of Maine and New Hampshire marks the fourth community ambassador for the company. Sadie Armstrong, a softball player at Portland High School, Alyssa Bourque, a track and field athlete at the University of Vermont and Maddie Nilles, a field hockey player at Lawrence High School have also signed NIL partnerships as community ambassadors with the Aroma Joe's development office of Maine and New Hampshire.
As part of the NIL partnership, Beaudoin will make a series of social media posts about Aroma Joe's development office of Maine and New Hampshire and the company's community events. She will also be compensated for using her name, image and likeness for player appearances, as well as other promotional content.
"Natalie loves her community and loves Aroma Joe's, so this was a perfect fit. This NIL partnership is a great example of how athletes can find meaningful partnerships with brands they love and create opportunities for themselves, and for the businesses they work with. Aroma Joe's community ambassador program is one of the first of its kind in the country and is a perfect opportunity for Natalie because she and her family are very involved in the Lewiston community, I know she will be an amazing community ambassador,” said Greg Glynn, founder & CEO of Pliable.
