Orthopedic surgeon Douglass Weiss has joined the orthopedics team at Gifford Health Care, seeing patients at Gifford Specialty Clinics in Randolph and Sharon Health Center.
Weiss most recently provided care as a commander with the Navy, based at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His service included a six-month deployment in Afghanistan.
Weiss earned a doctor of medicine degree from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed fellowships in orthopaedic sports medicine at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, and orthopaedic surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. He previously served as a team physician for USA Hockey as well as the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team.
