NEK Council on Aging welcomes new case manager

Mackinnley Wright

Mackinnley Wright, former store manager at NEK Vapor, has joined the Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging as case manager for the Western Caledonia County area. This position supports clients by evaluating long-term needs and providing person-centered and lifestyle options that inform, encourage, inspire and support older and disabled adults to live independently and age well.

“Mackinnley’s personal journey of serving as a caregiver for his ailing grandfather provided him an understanding of the needs associated with caring for our aging population,” said the council's executive director, Meg Burmeister. “He is interested in helping others to secure the resources and supportive environment necessary to live independently with dignity and respect.”

Wright is a graduate of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy with a minor in cognitive science.
