Vermont Electric Power Co. has promoted two highly experienced professionals, Mike Fiske and Brian Connaughton, to key leadership positions. Fiske, of Rutland, was named chief operating officer, and Connaughton, of Pittsford, was elevated to vice president of transmission services and asset maintenance.
Fiske joined VELCO in 2000 and has steadily earned greater responsibilities within the organization. In his new role, he will oversee core company functions such as planning, engineering, operations, safety, and transmission services.
Connaughton, who started at VELCO in 2007, progressed through various roles including environmental manager and director of transmission services. In his new role, he will manage the transmission services and asset maintenance divisions, key to keeping people and communities safe and the system reliable.
