The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center in Randolph Center recently welcomed Mark O’Hearn as business growth adviser — supply chain. A former gas turbine engineer for the Navy, O’Hearn has spent his entire civilian career in manufacturing. Most recently, he operated his own business consulting company, working as project manager on large manufacturing automation and rooftop consolidation projects.
In his new role, O’Hearn will focus on introducing Vermont manufacturers to VMEC’s newest service, CONNEX VT, an online platform that connects all Vermont manufacturers, buyers and suppliers in a single, searchable supply-chain solution. VMEC recently entered into a supply-chain partnership with the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, with each organization’s goal to strengthen Vermont supply chains to benefit the Vermont manufacturing industry.
