Hickok and Boardman’s Jacob Smith tops list of NVRA Award recipients

Jacob Smith, a member of the Lipkin Audette team at Coldwell Banker Hickok and Boardman, tops a list of five 2023 Northwest Vermont Realtor Association Award recipients who will be honored for their extraordinary contributions to the association and the real estate industry Sept. 14 at the Lake Champlain Community Sailing Center in Burlington.

Smith will be recognized as NVRAs Realtor of the Year for demonstrating high principles of integrity, adherence to the Realtor Code of Ethics and furtherance of the principles of good real estate practice among brokers, agents and the general public. Smith has served for six years on the NVRA Board of Directors, during which time he has been a tireless advocate for housing affordability and accessibility.

“We’re all made better by the opportunity to work with Jacob as a part of our team,” said Leslee MacKenzie, president and owner of Coldwell Banker Hickok and Boardman.

Others who will be honored by the association Sept. 14 are:

  • Carolyn Weaver, the Weaver Team, Keller Williams Vermont — Distinguished Service Award, for going above and beyond to ensure that the real estate industry and realtors associations continue to thrive.
  • Lauren Gaffney Cohen, the Gardner Group, RE/Max North Professionals — Dody Fraher-Ruland Good Neighbor Award, for extraordinary commitment to volunteer work and making the community a better place to live.
  • Christie Mitchell, Mascoma Bank — Affiliate of the Year, for giving generously to the association through volunteering on committees, sponsoring events and/or conducting education sessions for realtors.
  • Kelly Byers, Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Real Estate — Rookie of the Year, for demonstrating strong indications for success in the field and promise for leadership in the realtors organization.

The Northwest Vermont Realtor Association represents realtors and affiliated businesses serving the residents of Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties.
