Chris Lehman has been hired as chief human resources officer at the University of Vermont, bringing 25 years of HR leadership experience to the state’s flagship land-grant university. He began his new duties Aug. 28.
Lehman joined UVM from Ohio-based OTC Industrial Technologies, where he also served as chief human resources officer. He has led HR teams in a variety of manufacturing and industrial settings, with extensive experience engaging with diverse workforces.
“I am delighted to announce the hiring of such a capable and talented HR leader to this important position at our university,” UVM President Suresh Garimella said. “Chris leads with a strong emphasis on people, from recruitment to talent development and retention.”
Lehman is a graduate of Manchester College in Indiana and holds an MBA, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame.
