Aims to Grow Economic Opportunity in Vermont

Vermont Business Magazine Technology for Tomorrow Inc, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, based in Williston, VT, has announced that it will be working with Microsoft TechSpark to foster inclusive economic opportunity, job creation, and innovation in Vermont. This ties in well with the organization’s mission to bridge the digital divide and create a brighter future for all in Vermont.

This opportunity includes funding a TechSpark Community Engagement Fellow, who will spearhead local efforts, working with local partners to extend digital literacy classes to underserved populations here in Vermont. This fellowship represents the first time Microsoft TechSpark has worked in the State of Vermont.

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the expansion of its Microsoft TechSpark program to tackle digital inclusion in four focus areas: digital access, digital skills, computer science education, and digital transformation with local based organizations. "Since we launched TechSpark in 2017, we’ve helped communities secure more than $125 million in funding and helped create thousands of jobs,” said Kate Behncken, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Philanthropies. "By expanding TechSpark to all 50 states, we hope to continue our hyperlocal, partner-driven work to help communities realize the potential of technology and foster greater economic opportunity."

As we embark on this exciting journey, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Microsoft for recognizing our mission’s potential. The future is brighter than ever, and we invite you to join us in this remarkable endeavor as we shape a world where technology truly empowers and uplifts all.
