Matt Harrington, executive director of the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce, recently graduated from the Institute for Organization Management at Villanova University, a program administered by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The institute is the professional-development program of choice for chamber of commerce professionals, providing a rigorous curriculum that covers topics crucial to enhancing chamber leadership and effectiveness. Participants undergo a four-year program consisting of intensive courses that span a week each year.
“Matt Harrington’s achievement marks a significant milestone in his dedication to personal and professional growth,” said Shannon McLenithan, board president of the Southwestern Vermont Chamber.
Under Harrington's leadership, the Southwestern Vermont Chamber has witnessed remarkable growth and development, including a transition to a fully regional organization representing 17 unique communities. The chamber's membership has expanded under his guidance, and the organization has earned recognition for its impactful community programs.
