Agri-Mark / Cabot Creamery Cooperative recently filled three key leadership positions: Dan Serna was named chief financial officer; Spencer McDonald was appointed senior vice president of sales; and Derek Zwegust was promoted to vice president of supply chain and logistics.
Serna's hiring marks his return to Agri-Mark, where he worked as a business analyst from 2008 to 2010. He has previously worked at Manulife Investment Management, MetLife and General Mills. Serna is a graduate of Yale University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
McDonald is returning to the dairy business after spending two years leading the sales team at Mowi, the world’s largest salmon producer based out of Norway. Prior to that, he worked for Turkey Hill Dairy and Schwan’s Consumer Brands. McDonald is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
Before his recent promotion, Zwegust served as director of corporate strategy and led Agri-Mark’s strategic planning process, an area in which he will continue to be closely involved. He previously worked at Keurig Dr Pepper in strategy, supply chain planning and logistics. Swegust is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology.
“We have a talented and dynamic leadership team,” CEO David Lynn said. “Dan, Spencer and Derek’s unique skills, knowledge and capabilities will enhance and elevate our ability to grow our brands and cooperative, and to better support farmers who rely on our collective success.”
