Little Patakha launches new STEM-focused toy

BIPOC, woman-owned children’s brand introduces new interactive puzzle promoting DE&I and STEM subjects

VermontBiz Little Patakha, a Vermont-based, minority, and woman-owned children’s brand will launch its third Kickstarter campaign for its newest product, A Piece A Part jigsaw puzzle. The new product will add to its array of toys, games, books, and more that spark curiosity, celebrate differences and shatter stereotypes.

The A Piece A Part jigsaw puzzle introduces human anatomy through four diverse characters, teaching children that while there may be characteristics that set us apart on the outside, people are made of the same pieces on the inside. Kids can mix and match, combining the internal anatomy with external characteristics like skin color, hair, body shape, and more.

“We’re excited to launch our newest Kickstarter campaign for our A Piece A Part jigsaw puzzle,” said owner Akshata Nayak. “This newest product not only introduces kids to our diverse world, but its human anatomy focus will also spark curiosity in STEAM subjects starting at a young age.”

The STEAM-focused jigsaw puzzle has 54 mix-and-match pieces and was made in consultation with physicians to be a uniquely accurate representation of the human anatomy. The puzzle conforms to ASTM Standard Consumer Safety Specification on Toy Safety requirements and includes an on-the-go canvas bag.

“At Little Patakha, we’re on a mission to encourage children to embrace and celebrate differences rather than be wary of them. What better way to do this than with fun toys and games that effortlessly promote diversity and inclusivity in their everyday lives,” said Nayak.

Last year the brand added two new products to its portfolio: Unstoppable Me affirmation cards teach children to believe in themselves through positive sayings, while its Different Fits mix-and-match jigsaw puzzle challenges profession, race, and culture stereotypes.

The Kickstarter campaign launches Monday, July 10, 2023 and will be live for 30 days with a goal of $30,000. Rewards are available upon order. The campaign link is available here
