Alburgh passage bridge project construction update

TRAFFIC IMPACT: One-way alternating traffic regulated by a temporary traffic signal is in effect. Please observe the timing of the signal at all times.

Occasional stoppages of traffic may be required at times to allow trucks and equipment to enter and exit the work zone.

A width restriction is in effect across the bridge. The total travel way width is 12 feet, barrier to curb. Oversized loads will not be permitted.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: The contractor returned to the site on Wednesday after the long holiday weekend to continue building phase 1 of the bridge. Concrete for the finger joint headers was poured at the end of last week and the concrete is being kept in wet curing conditions this week. This week they plan to build concrete forms and install reinforcing steel for the approach slabs at both ends of the bridge.

Next week the approach work will continue and they will prepare to pour concrete for the bridge curbs.
