Vermont Businesses Invited to Join the Maple 100

Vermont Agency of Agriculture Food & Markets The Vermont Maple 100 is back and it's bigger, sweeter, and more exciting than ever before! From September 15 – October 15, 2023, Vermont businesses are invited to join forces with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture (VAAFM), Vermont Department of Tourism (VDTM), and organizations from across the state as we embark on a quest to help visitors and Vermonters alike discover new and delightful ways to indulge in Vermont's sweetest treat. This annual promotion is the ultimate showcase of everything maple-related in Vermont, from thrilling maple adventures to mouthwatering maple-inspired products. This is your chance to shine and make a lasting impression on maple enthusiasts from near and far!

The best part? Participating in the Maple 100 is easy and absolutely free, and you’ll reap the benefits of a robust marketing campaign promoting your business to a captive audience of Vermont tourists during our busiest season. While we invite you to get creative and curate something truly unique, you can also sign up to promote a maple-related product or activity that you already offer, such as a maple creemee, beer, menu item, tours of your sugarhouse, etc.

Every business who signs up will be featured on VermontVacation.com and benefit from the joint marketing efforts of a variety of public and private partners. As just one example, promotional ads will be targeted to VAAFM and VDTM’s combined 87,000 Facebook followers! Imagine the influx of visitors, all eagerly searching for the next maple adventure or scrumptious maple-infused treat!

Don’t miss this unique opportunity! Apply today to tell us how you'd like to get involved! Maybe it's promoting a tantalizing maple-inspired product, hosting an unforgettable event, or creating a special Vermont Maple 100 menu at your restaurant. Whatever your connection to maple, we'd love to have you as part of this celebration! Need inspiration? Check out the list of fun events and activities offered by our 2022 participants.

The application to join the Maple 100 will close on July 31st! Contact Kristen Brassard at [email protected] with questions.

Gevry Firewood

WLEI Grantee Highlight:
Gevry Firewood

Gevry Firewood, like many of our working lands enterprises, is a business that epitomizes the importance of sustainable production, rural communities, and community connections.

Gevry Firewood received a $250,000 grant in 2022 to purchase equipment. “The grant activities will put our business in a very good position where we can easily scale to meet market demands,” says Ethan Gevry.

“The grant has helped us increase production and, in the spring of 2023, we will construct storage to be able to better serve our customers by having a stockpile of ready-to-deliver wood at any given time rather than cutting to order.”
