The Champlain Valley Fair and Al’s French Frys Announce the End of a Wonderful Run Together
Vermont Business Magazine After a long, successful run with the Champlain Valley Fair and citing rising costs, the iconic Al’s French Frys has adjusted their business model and will no longer participate with the Champlain Valley Fair. The following are the statements from Al’s French Frys and the Champlain Valley Exposition.
“For decades, Al’s French Frys has served up their delicious pints of Frys during the ten best days of summer. We’ll miss our working relationship but understand the need to adjust their business model as they eye more satellite options. We wish the entire team at Al’s French Frys and the Bissonette’s all the best in their future endeavors,” stated Jeff Bartley, Marketing Director of the Champlain Valley Exposition.
He concluded “We are actively working with our concessionaires on filling the booths formerly occupied by Al’s French Frys and have a few new food options we look forward to teasing in the coming weeks.”
Bill Bissonette, the owner of Al’s French Frys added “The Champlain Valley Fair has been a wonderful partner over the years. With the rising costs of doing business and our success opening in communities throughout the state, we realized we couldn’t be in multiple places at once. This decision, while a tough one, is best for Al’s French Frys. The Champlain Valley Fair continues to be a big part of our hearts and I look forward to returning as a fairgoer with my grandchildren this August.”
