Ledyard promotes Josephine Moran to president and CEO

Josephine Moran (pictured right), president and chief banking officer at Ledyard National Bank, has been promoted to president and CEO of the company. The move was made in conjunction with the announcement by CEO Kathy Underwood (left) that she will retire on July 3.

Since joining Ledyard in January 2022, Moran has overseen financial center banking and product development as well as bank-wide operations, information technology, human resources and compliance. She was elected to the Ledyard Board of Directors in January.

Prior to joining Ledyard, Moran was executive vice president, chief corporate services and consumer lending officer, at Provident Bank as well as executive vice president, head of retail. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and holds both a master's in finance and financial services and an executive MBA from the University of New Haven.

“I am thrilled to lead this outstanding organization and to continue the success Kathy has achieved over the last 17 years,” Moran said. “I appreciate the opportunity the board has presented and look forward to working closely with them as we serve our communities.”
