The Burlington investment management firm One Day in July has added two new members, financial adviser Adam Roof and investment desk associate Matthew McBride, as part of an expansion of the company's financial advice sector.
Roof brings to the firm several years' experience as a small business owner and nonprofit leader. Prior to joining One Day in July, he served two terms on the Burlington City Council and as a trustee at the University of Vermont. He also volunteers locally and internationally, including recently helping to lead a humanitarian mission to the Ukrainian Polish border in support of refugees.
McBride is a level 2 candidate Chartered Financial Analyst who brings his passion for economics, financial markets and investing to One Day clients. A graduate of Saint Michael’s College, he formerly worked as a research technician at UVM’s Larner College of Medicine, where he focused on protein purification for crystallographic purposes.
