Senate Democratic Caucus elects Becca White as communications director

In a unanimous vote, the Senate Democratic Caucus elected state Sen. Rebecca White as caucus communications director. In this role, White will serve as part of the caucus leadership team and guide efforts to connect Vermonters with the work of Senate Democrats.

A first-term senator who represents the Windsor District, White serves on the Senate Committee on Government Operations, Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy, the Senate Sexual Harassment Panel and the Canvassing Committee. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she earned a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in speech and debate.

“Senator White has been an important part of our communication work in a voluntary capacity during this past session,” said Majority Leader Alison Clarkson. “I’m thrilled to officially bring her on to the leadership team to continue this work.”

“The Senate Democrats have led on such important issues that have too often been bogged down by disinformation or just haven’t gotten across to the public,” said White. “I’m eager to take on this role to both highlight our accomplishments from this past session and to continue reaching out to our constituents as we prepare for the session.”
