Lisa Lance, former director of communications and marketing at ABET, the global accreditor of college and university STEM programs, has joined Vermont Law and Graduate School as vice president of communications.
In her new role, Lance will develop communications strategies to promote, enhance and protect the reputation of VLGS, the private law and public policy graduate school in South Royalton. She will build the institution’s brand and value proposition, manage public relations strategy and increase awareness around the school’s mission, officials said.
Lance brings with her more than 20 years of experience in public relations and marketing, from directing thought leadership and social media campaigns to managing content marketing and strategy for a wide variety of organizations, with an emphasis in the education, nonprofit and technology sectors. In addition to her position at ABET, she has been frequently published as a freelance writer and served as editor of two literary journals.
“Lisa brings to VLGS a wealth of experience, and we are fortunate to have her on our team,” the school’s president, Rod Smolla, said. “We are excited to continue innovating, creating changemakers and sharing our story, with Lisa at the helm.”
Lance is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a master's degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University. She is expected to graduate in June from the Executive MBA program at the University of Maryland Robert H Smith School of Business.
