Mike Solimano, president and general manager of Killington and Pico Ski Resort Partners, has been named a recipient of a 2023 Sammy Leadership Award by the trade publication Ski Area Management. Solimano won in the category of “builder of teams.”
The Sammy Awards honor innovative, inspiring, courageous and passionate industry leaders who are making a difference locally and nationally. Recipients are determined based on nominations by members of the ski and snowboard industry.
“I am humbled and honored to be recognized with this award,” Solimano said. “The fact that I was nominated by the team here at Killington and Pico makes it even more prestigious.”
Solimano was cited by nominators for his willingness to listen to feedback and for enacting real change to improve the experience of working at and visiting “The Beast,” as Killington is affectionately known.
