Chaunté Lowe, leadership spokesperson for National Life Group in Montpelier, has been named by President Joe Biden to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.
Lowe, a four-time Olympian and record-holder in American women’s high jump, joins 26 other appointees to the council, which promotes physical fitness and healthy nutrition to all regardless of background or ability.
In 2022, Lowe partnered with National Life to inspire employees and agents alike with her inspirational story of overcoming hardship as a child to realize her dream of competing in the Olympics and of later overcoming breast cancer and using the Olympic platform to raise awareness about early detection.
“Chaunté embodies the very best of National Life’s ‘do good’ culture, and this prestigious appointment recognizes the power of her profound impact on those she touches,” National Life Group Chairman, CEO and President Mehran Assadi said. “It is an honor and a privilege to work with her and she will be a great asset to the council.”
