Vermont Law appoints alum as new VP of alumni relations and development

Dave Celone, former director of development and community relations at West Central Behavioral Health in Lebanon, NH, has been appointed vice president of alumni relations and development at Vermont Law and Graduate School.

Celone, who earned a law degree from VLGS in 1992, brings to his alma mater a wealth of management, marketing and senior leadership experience within the for-profit and non-profit communities. He has helped numerous organizations develop and execute successful campaigns, raising visibility and hundreds of millions of dollars for charitable organizations during his career.

“We are delighted to have Dave stepping into this enormously important role at this exciting juncture in the school’s history,” said VLGS President Rodney Smolla. “Dave is joining a leadership team of professionals dedicated to engaging our graduates and encouraging the philanthropy so important to securing the school’s future prosperity.”

In addition to his law degree, Celone holds a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in English and accounting from Quinnipiac University and a master’s degree in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

“It’s time for all of us to rejoin, or join anew, in the bold and virtuous strategic vision and mission of this preeminent law and graduate school to help save our world,” Celine said of his new role. “I am humbled and profoundly honored to serve in this leadership role at my cherished alma mater.”
