Howard Center welcomes new board member, elects officers

Amanda Peden, a financial planner at Commonwealth Financial Group in Burlington, has been elected to a three-year term on the Howard Center Board of Trustees.

"Amanda brings a wealth of industry experience and a passion for helping others to her role on the Howard Center Board of Trustees,” said board President Meg O’Donnell. “We are confident that her expertise and dedication will be invaluable as we work to make a positive impact in our community."

In addition to Peden, five current members of the board were reelected to three-year terms. They are Daniel Calder (Shelburne), Kelly Deforge (Essex Junction), Trevor Squirrell (Underhill Center), Yves Bradley (Burlington) and John McSoley (Essex).

The board will be guided by officers O’Donnell, Vice President Kelly Deforge, Treasurer George Philibert and Secretary Cyndee Cochrane Sturtevant. Each will serve one-year terms in their respective positions.

The Howard Center, Vermont's largest social service organization, provides support and services to individuals with mental-health, substance-use and developmental needs.
