Vermont State Council of SHRM appoints new and returning officers

Mara Neufeld Rivera, head of people and culture at Chroma Technology Corp., has been elected director of the Vermont State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management, effective Jan 1. She succeeds Ross Gibson, chief of operations in the employee benefits division at The Richards Group, who led the council for the past two years.

Other appointments include Michele Granitz, head of benefits, total rewards, at National Life Group, as treasurer, and returning officers Lisa Barron, director of human resources at Gifford Hospital, as secretary, and Elisabeth Harris, chief people officer at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, as membership director.
