Eric Covey appointed to CCTV Board of Directors

Eric Covey, chief of staff to Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos, has been appointed to the board of directors of the CCTV Center for Media & Democracy.

Covey has years of progressive policy experience working to empower community members to engage in the decision-making process on local, statewide and national levels. From 2017 to 2019, he served on the Winooski City Council and as founding director of the Vermont chapter of the New Leaders Council. He also formerly served on the Winooski Charter Commission, where he was responsible for crafting the all-resident voting charter change.

"Eric shares our commitment to local democracy and open government, and we're delighted to have someone with his experience, perspective and insight on the board," said CCTV Executive Director Lauren-Glenn Davitian.

Launched in 1984, CCTV Center for Media & Democracy's mission is to secure free speech and open the doors of local government for all.
