Major General Greg Knight, adjutant general of the Vermont National Guard, recently presented Richmond Police Chief Kyle Kapitanski with the Defense Department's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. Kapitanski was nominated for the award by his servicemember employee, Staff Sergeant Kevin Wilson, a member of Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry.
