Delta Dental Plan of Vermont has announced the election of Tyler M Aten, DMD, as a board trustee. Aten, a general dentist with advanced training in implant, esthetic and sedation dentistry, will serve a three-year term. Owner of two dental practices, in South Burlington and St Albans, Aten is heavily involved in advancing dentistry in his community through study clubs and practice development masterminds.
Aten is a graduate of the University of Vermont and earned a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. During his residency at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, Aten was recognized as Resident of the Year and received the E Gerard Keen Award for excellence in oral Surgery. He was also bestowed numerous awards from the University of Connecticut.
