Mary K Parent of St Johnsbury, a director in the business law group at the Vermont law firm Downs Rachlin Martin, has joined the board of directors of Union Bank.

In addition to her position at Downs Rachlin Martin, Parent serves as chair of the board of trustees at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital and as a corporator of the St Johnsbury Development Fund. She previously served as president of the St Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce and vice chair of the Fairbanks Museum Board of Trustees.
Parent is a graduate of Smith College and holds a law degree from Boston College Law School. She is a member of both the Vermont and New Hampshire bar associations.
