The Union Mutual of Vermont Companies has elected Robert Cotton, chief operating officer of National Life Group, to the board of directors of the Union Mutual Fire Insurance Company and the New England Guaranty Insurance Company.
“We are delighted to have Bob join our team as he brings a wealth of financial and corporate experience, as well as an analytical approach that will serve the company well,” said Union Mutual board chair Kathy Davis.
Cotton is a graduate of Clarkson University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Vermont. He is a chartered financial analyst, a certified public accountant, a certified treasury professional and a fellow of the Life Management Institute. He is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals, the LOMA Treasury Committee, the New York State Society of CPAs, the Vermont Society of CPAs and the Vermont Security Analysts Society.
