University of Vermont board welcomes new members, reelects Lumbra as chair

The University of Vermont Board of Trustees recently welcomed three new members — Susan Brengle, Kenny Nguyen and Kristina Pisanelli — and reelected Ron Lumbra to serve as chair.

Lumbra, a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ New York office and a member of the global CEO & Board of Directors Practice, is scheduled to serve on the UVM board until March 2028. He was reelected as the board’s chair for a third one-year term.

“I’m honored to be entrusted again as chair of this dedicated board,” Lumbra said Lumbra. “The past two years have been a challenge and an inspiration. As we welcome new trustees today, we look to the future. In the months and years ahead, the board will move to strengthen UVM for the long term.”

Brengle, vice president and managing director for institutional business at Boston-based Eaton Vance Management, and Pisanelli, vice president of global government affairs for the Americas region at Minneapolis-based Medtronic, were elected by the self-perpetuating UVM board to six-year terms. Nguyen, a first-year medical student, was appointed by the associate directors for the appointment of student trustees to serve on the board for a two-year term.
