The property casualty insurance group Union Mutual Companies has announced two significant personnel changes in its information systems and information technology areas.
Robert Pembroke, who was hired as vice president of information technology, will oversee the company’s information systems operations and information technology development departments. Pamela LaCount, who was promoted to assistant vice president for information technology development, will continue to manage the firm's software development and information systems operations staff. Both employees are based in the company's Montpelier, VT, office.
Pembroke, of Barre, VT, brings over 30 years of information systems experience to Union Mutual, having spent the majority of his career at Agri-Mark Inc, the parent company of Cabot Creamery.
“Bob is a strong addition to the company’s leadership team,” Union Mutual President and Chief Executive Officer Lisa Keysar said. “His expertise and insight will further the company’s focus on security, efficiency and innovation.”
LaCount, of Worcester, VT, joined Union Mutual in 1988 and has served in multiple roles within the company, including director of information technology development and director of customer support.
“Pam is a valuable employee who constantly seeks growth and development for herself and for those around her,” Keysar said. “Her promotion recognizes the significant responsibility that she has capably assumed in overseeing the IT operations and development functions of the company.”
