CEDO announces new member of leadership team

The Community & Economic Development Office (CEDO) is excited to welcome

Samantha Dunn to our team as Assistant Director for Community Works. The position

involves the full range of duties on all CEDO-led real estate development projects from

conceptual planning through construction. Projects include the redevelopment of City-

owned properties; managing negotiations and development agreements related to the

use or redevelopment of both public and private property. Samantha will also be a key

member of the City’s team fostering major private redevelopment projects. Her focus

initially will be on CityPlace Burlington, the Moran Frame project, and developing

alternative housing for the residents of Sears Lane encampment.

Samantha has nearly two decades of experience ranging from research, design and

architecture, project management and all aspects of affordable housing development.

During her 5 years with Evernorth (formerly Housing Vermont), she closed over $42

million dollars in affordable housing deals to bring 93 new and 54 rehabilitated units

from start to finish. Prior to her housing development work with Evernorth, Samantha

served on the team of Yellow Wood Associates providing a full spectrum of community

economic development services to rural communities across the US. With a Masters of

Architecture from Boston Architectural College, she managed and delivered

architectural services to various public purpose clients in New England.

A native of Huntington and graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Samantha lives in

Jericho with her husband Nick Richardson and their two children.
