Bill Atkinson P.E. has been elected to serve as the Vice President for the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and was awarded Fellow status in the organization. He will serve on the Executive Committee and as the Society President for the 2023-2024 Term. NSPE’s vision is creating a world where the public can be confident that engineering decisions affecting their lives are made by qualified and ethically accountable professionals.
Bill currently oversees the Service and Engineering Departments at Vermont Mechanical Inc. where he has worked for 20 years. During his tenure at VMI he was appointed by the governor to serve on the VT Professional Engineering Licensure board and nationally at NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying), is on the UVM Mechanical Engineering board of advisors, and has served as the state president for NSPE and ASHRAE. Vermont Mechanical owner Randy Kimball has always supported its employees in their efforts to give back to the local and professional community.
