On June 24th, 2021 the Colchester-Milton Rotary officially installed John Abry as their new president for the 2021/2022 fiscal year. He has been a member since 2004, has held many positions within the club and has been the driver of the organization's ‘Fill The Truck For The Food Shelf’ campaign.
John is a Realtor and commercial photographer and lives with his wife Alison and son Reed in Colchester.
Abry’s main goal for the club is to grow membership. In line with this year’s Rotary International president’s initiative of ‘Each One Bring One’, John is encouraging each member to invite a friend to join with Rotary. He stated “The more people we have in our organization the more we can grow our community service projects, increase our donations to local charities, and get involved in more international projects. In this time of incredible change and uncertainty in the world people want to help and we can show them how they can.”
Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
