RMHC welcomes new board members

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) welcomes Jay Barton and Brooks McArthur to their Board of Directors. Both Jay and Brooks join RMHC with extensive business and community-focused experience.

Jay Barton, Vice President and General Manager at WCAX-TV, a CBS-affiliated television station in Burlington, Vermont, has experience in media across the US ranging from Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia and now Vermont. He remains “flexible with people and situation to find the best route for both to net a positive result”. His goals include growth for the immediate success of the team allowing them to build and define the future. Jay is a native Virginian with education including James Madison University and Abilene Christian University.

Brooks McArthur of Jarvis McArthur & Williams Attorney, is an experienced and skilled litigator and concentrates his practice in the areas of Federal and State criminal defense and plaintiff’s civil litigation, DUI cases, personal injury, medical malpractice, traumatic brain injuries and wrongful death cases. Attorney McArthur brings prior experience as Chief Deputy State’s Attorney in the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office and Deputy State’s Attorney in the Washington County State’s Attorney’s Office. Attorney McArthur grew up in South Burlington, Vermont and is a graduate of the University of Vermont and American University Washington College of Law. Attorney McArthur is a native Vermont and graduated from South Burlington High School, South Burlington, Vermont.

RMHC Executive Director, Kristine Bickford says, “We are delighted to have Jay and Brooks on our Board of Directors. They have a deep interest in the mission of the charity and will be a true asset in their forward-thinking and teamwork. We are overjoyed they have joined our team.”
