Robinson joins Rutland Regional communications team

Rutland Regional Medical Center welcomes Kevin Robinson as its new Director of Communications and Community Relations. Robinson brings 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, most recently as the president of his own firm, Schroon River Communications. He steps into this newly created position to help lead the hospital and health system’s overall communications efforts, including public and media relations, marketing, internal and external communications.

“Kevin’s background makes him uniquely qualified to help lead the organization’s communications strategies,” said Traci Moore, Senior Director of Development and Community Relations. “His experience will complement the work of our marketing team and also assist our leadership in strategizing and planning for the future.”

In addition to operating his own communications firm, Robinson’s experience includes serving as the Director of Communications and Media Relations for Berkshire Farm Center and Services for Youth, a child welfare agency with operations in every county in the New York area. Within healthcare, he also served as the Communications Director at Southwestern Vermont Health Care in Bennington, VT for more than a decade. He also served as Vice President for Business Development with Clinical Providers Staffing, a firm that specializes in providing temporary physicians for hospitals throughout New England.

“We are pleased to welcome Kevin to our team,” stated Claudio Fort, President and CEO of Rutland Regional. “He brings a wealth of experience in health care communications, including the knowledge of the unique healthcare environment in the state of Vermont.”

Outside of his work in communications, Kevin enjoys home renovations, gardening, backpacking, and paddling his handmade kayak on the lakes and rivers of Vermont and the Adirondacks.
