Jan Knutsen and Megan Hand launched Grace Financial Strategies, an education-based financial services firm in Colchester, Vermont. With a mission to educate and empower their clients to confidently work toward the financial future they desire, Jan Knutsen and Megan Hand proudly launched Grace Financial Strategies in February.
To announce the launch, founding partners Knutsen and Hand hosted a virtual event where they shared their joint mission for their partnership. Knutsen shared, “Now more than ever there is a need for people to have educational resources and trusted partners they can rely on for financial guidance. We understand the overwhelming financial challenges people face today, and we partner with individuals, families and business owners to navigate those challenges with knowledge, understanding, and grace.” Hand explained, “We both have an education-based approach when working with clients,” adding, “Jan’s commitment to building solid, long-term relationships with people is something I admire and strive for with my clients as well. It’s these similarities that make us a great team for our clients.”
National Life Group President and CEO, Mehran Assadi, shared his support by stating, “It’s a real privilege and honor to be part of this event. He added, “Our industry needs more people like you both. You educate, you don’t sell, and your advocacy for your clients is absolutely amazing.” The excitement for the formalized partnership was echoed by Senior Vice President of Career Distribution at National Life Group, Pam Blalock, who shared, “I respect these two women so much. You take your principles and put them into action.”
Seeing a need for a financial services firm led by and focused on the needs of women, Grace Financial Strategies provides a wealth of educational resources on their website as well as monthly seminars. When not assisting clients, Megan actively volunteers in her community and coaches youth soccer. A graduate of Colby College, Megan lives with her family in Stowe. Jan lives in the Mad River Valley and is passionate about community involvement and helping others. She is a board member and coach for Girls on the Run Vermont and has been a Wish-Grantor for Make-a-Wish Vermont for the past ten years.
