Board changes at the Upper Valley Trails Alliance

The Upper Valley Trails Alliance (UVTA) is pleased to announce that David Bartlett of Norwich, VT has joined the Board of Directors. David Bartlett grew up in Norwich running around the trails of what is now the Milt Frye Nature Area. After attending UVM and Tuck, he spent 20 years in Hong Kong and Indonesia working in special situations debt helping companies raise capital for infrastructure projects. David and his family returned to Norwich in 2017 where they maintain several miles of trails on their property for hiking and skiing.

“I am excited to join the board of the UVTA to help expand trail networks and provide the great trail access I’ve enjoyed to as many people as possible.” Says Bartlett. David also serves on the Norwich Recreation Council, and the boards of the Lake Mitchell Trout Club and New England Precision.

UVTA’s Executive Director, Russell Hirschler, stated, "We are excited to welcome David to the UVTA Board. He is an outstanding community member with sincere dedication and passion to recreation and the outdoors. I have no doubt that he will add in a myriad of ways to enhance the Board and help UVTA fulfil our mission and vision.".

UVTA would also like to announce that Conrad Reining is leaving the Board of Directors after ten years. UVTA wishes to thank Conrad for his dedicated service to the organization, including his role as the UVTA Chair for six years. Conrad oversaw the implementation of several significant strategic initiatives at UVTA including the move to hold trail easements as part of the organization’s conservation and sustainability work, execution of a new strategic plan, and the creation of UVTA’s 5-year capacity building growth plan in honor of its 20th anniversary.
