Tylor Bigras, of Bigras Auto was awarded the Citizen of the Year. Tylor was honored for his patriotism, generosity and ethics. In presenting the award, Watters highlighted Tylor's commitment to local Veterans through Tires for Troops, a 501c3 charity he started around 6 years ago, Tylor's first year trying to make it as a business. Through Tylor's leadership and charisma, he has raised thousands of dollars to purchase tires which are installed Free for local veterans in November. The first year, 8 sets of new tires were installed. In 2019 a record 25 sets of new tires were provided and installed to veterans and their families. Tylor is a supporter/mentor of our youth and generous in supporting numerous local causes, not just through donated items, but buying tickets to support charity events.
Though the Citizen of the Year does not need to be a member of the Elks, Tylor is a proud 3rd generation member, receiving his 10-year membership pin that evening.
