The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is pleased to welcome Madeline Brumberg to the Center for Women & Enterprise as Program Manager North. She will be supporting the Women’s Business Centers of Vermont & New Hampshire as well as the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center of New England northern states. The Center for Women & Enterprise hosts Women’s Business Centers and the Veterans Business Outreach Center for New England, a partnership with the US Small Business Administration (SBA). These grants enable the organization to provide technical assistance services to the growing number of women and veteran entrepreneurs in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Madeline comes to CWE with a background in science, data analysis, business, and community building. Madeline has experience in the environmental field as an environmental scientist and a GIS Analyst, a community builder and entrepreneur supporter. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Vermont, first as an environmental science & community development major and second in the Sustainable Innovation MBA. As an MBA student, she studied change management, leadership and how to operate a business with a triple bottom line. Madeline believes in entrepreneurship as a vehicle for empowerment and is passionate about making it a reality for everyone. She is all about bridge building, collaboration, supporting entrepreneurs and growing a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem to support small-business owners.
Established in 1995, the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is a regional economic development non-profit that provides education, training, resources and connections to women (and men) through Women’s Business Centers in Vermont, New Hampshire, Central Massachusetts, Eastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. CWE also operates the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England (VBOC of NE) that equips veteran and active duty service members and their families with the resources to help them start and run their businesses. In addition, CWE is the New England affiliate for Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), serving as their certification arm for women-owned businesses. WBENC Certification is nationally recognized in helping established women business owners access new corporate contracts with organizations that are actively seeking supplier diversity.
