Vermont PBS is pleased to announce it has once again been nominated for seven New England Emmy nominations. The New England Emmys are awarded for excellence in video content. Vermont PBS looks forward to bringing home additional statuettes this year. The NATAS Boston/New England Chapter will present the 43rd Boston/New England Emmy® Awards Ceremony as a virtual event.
The Vermont PBS nominations are for:
- Mister Chris and Friends, a live-action music series for children age 3-6, is nominated in the Musical Composition/Arrangement category and the Children/Youth category for the episode, “Lost & Found”. Chris Dorman, Composer; Tyler Bolles, Composer; Chris Dorman, Creator; Holt Albee, Producer.
- Burlington Does Broadway, is nominated in the category of Special Events Coverage. Simulcast live for the first time on Vermont PBS, the event hosted by Mister Rogers’ own Francois Clemmons, brought Lyric Theatre, Vermont Symphony, and the Flynn together to ring in the New Year. - The Future Of Farming Pt 1 is nominated in the categories of Interstitial and Photographer-Program/Non-News. Part of This Land: The Changing Story of Rural Vermont, a collaboration with VPR, the interstitial chronicles the serious challenges and potential opportunities for this signature Vermont industry. Emily Taylor, Producer. Brian Stevenson, Director Of Photography; David Littlefield, Videographer.
- Bardo: A Night In the Life, a live music and interview series, is nominated in the Arts/Entertainment category for the episode "San Holo”. Host, Ryan Miller, swaps stories from the road as he and San play at Sound Toys and talk shop at the Birds of Vermont Museum. Mike Dunn, Producer.
- Qulture, which explores the thriving arts scene and unique artistic talents in and around Montréal, is nominated for the episode “Tattoo Art”, in the category of Video Essay (single camera). Dorothy Dickie, Senior Producer.
