Yankee Farm Credit welcomes Kohler as new controller

Kassandra Kohler, CIA, MBA is a Certified Internal Auditor with 12 years’ experience in various financial services roles, has been named controller at Yankee Farm Credit. Ms. Kohler assumed her new role April 1 and is working out of the Association’s Williston offices.

Before joining Yankee, Ms. Kohler spent eight years with CoBank, an agricultural credit bank within the Farm Credit System. She most recently served as a lead internal auditor at CoBank and was responsible for overseeing teams performing internal operational, technology and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) audits. She previously worked as a loan accountant for CoBank, a senior auditor for People’s United Bank and a commercial credit analyst for TD Bank.

“We are delighted to have Kassandra join our accounting team because of the wealth of knowledge she brings to Yankee,” said Chief Financial Officer Pam Simek. “Her years of experience in auditing and accounting, as well as her knowledge of the Farm Credit System, make her a wonderful addition.”

Ms. Kohler earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester and an MBA with a concentration in forensic accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. She lives in Essex with her husband and son.
