Hunger Free Vermont, Vermont’s leading anti-hunger organization working to end the injustice of hunger and malnutrition for all Vermonters, announced today the election of Erin Miller Heins, attorney and partner at Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP, to the organization’s Board of Directors.
“It is an honor to have Erin bring her many skills and her commitment to serving Vermonters to Hunger Free Vermont, said Board President Darren Allen. “We are so pleased that Erin will continue our long relationship with Langrock Sperry & Wool, a great Vermont firm that has supported our organization in many ways.”
Erin has a broad litigation practice, including business litigation, construction, and family law. After beginning her career practicing law in New York City, Erin later joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in 2005. She has been recognized by New England Super Lawyers in the field of Business Litigation and has been recognized in the field of Construction Litigation by Best Lawyers in America. A native Vermonter, Erin lives in Shelburne with her husband, and their two children. She’s served on the Board of Trustees for the Pierson Library in Shelburne, as the regional chair of the Princeton University Alumni Schools Committee of Vermont, and is the President-Elect of the Chittenden County Bar Association.

Hunger Free Vermont is a statewide organization working to make long‐term systemic changes to end
hunger and malnutrition in dignified ways to Vermonters of all ages. The organization’s strategies
include advocating for systems that create economic self‐sufficiency as the key to life‐long food security.
The Hunger Free Vermont Board consists of 12 directors, including 3 officers, and is responsible for working with the staff to establish long‐term goals, monitor general operations, approve the allocation of resources, and set policy positions.
