Shepard unanimously re-elected to lead Northeast Region of the Republican National Committee

The Vermont Republican Party is proud to announce that our National Committeeman, Jay Shepard, was unanimously re-elected Chair of the Northeast Region, will continue to serve as Vice-Chair of the Republican National Committee and sit on the Executive Committee.

“I’m very excited to continue representing the interests of the Vermont Republican Party at the national level.” said National Committeeman Jay Shepard.

“I have worked hard over the last seven years to bring the voice of Vermont Republicans to the Republican National Committee and am proud to continue doing so in this new role. I want to thank the Northeast delegation for their support and I look forward to continuing advocating for the interests of the Republican Party.”

“I am proud to have Jay representing the Vermont Republican Party at the Republican National Committee.” said Deborah Billado, Vermont Republican Party Chair. “Jay has worked hard to raise the profile of the VTGOP on the national political scene and has made significant inroads with other state parties. He has served Vermont Republicans extremely well and it is no surprise his dedication was noticed by our fellow Northeast RNC Members that unanimously elected him to represent our region. In this capacity I know Jay will continue to be a strong and fierce advocate for the advancement of our State and National Party.”

Jay Shepard was elected to serve as the National Committeeman from Vermont in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. Shepard has served as the National Director of Catholic Engagement for the RNC and currently serves on President Trump’s Catholic Advisory Committee. He has attended the 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 Republican National Conventions and served on the Platform Committee, The Committee on Permanent Organization and the RNC Committee on Arrangements. In Vermont, Shepard serves on the VTGOP State and Executive Committees and is an active member of his Republican Town and County Committees.
