VHB announces new hires

VHB is happy to anounce the following new hires: Merrill Allen; Jeff Zweber; Kimi Tokarczyk and Ryan Forbes. Merrill Allen recently joined VHB’s South Burlington, Vermont office as an IT Service Specialist. In this role, Merrill will be responsible for supporting the IT needs of VHB’s South Burlington, Vermont and Albany, New York offices. She has close to five years of professional experience providing information technology and network support services. Most recently Merrill was a member of the IT Support Team at the Essex Westford School District. Merrill is also currently enlisted in the Vermont Air National Guard where she is responsible for troubleshooting F-16 electrical, air and breathing oxygen systems.

Jeff Zweber joins VHB’s Land Development team as a Project Manager in the South Burlington, Vermont office. He brings close to two decades of experience in all aspects of site/civil engineering and design including comprehensive site design, construction drawing production, contract document development, permitting, and construction advisory services. Jeff’s diverse experience working throughout Vermont and New England and the relationships he has cultivated with local regulators will allow him to help VHB’s public and private clients navigate the path to success on their development projects. A resident of Shelburne, Vermont, Jeff is an active member of the Shelburne Bike and Pedestrian Path Committee. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and is a professionally licensed engineer.

Kimi Tokarczyk has joined VHB’s South Burlington, Vermont office as a Graphic Designer. She brings close to five years of diverse experience providing graphic design, branding, wayfinding, and 3D modeling services in support of land planning and landscape architecture projects throughout Vermont. This experience enables Kimi to support the graphical needs of VHB’s Vermont office on a variety of deliverables for our partners and clients. Most recently, Kimi was a Graphic Designer at LandWorks in Middlebury where she was directly responsible for the graphic design elements for planning, landscape architecture, and design projects. Kimi earned her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Ryan Forbes recently joined VHB’s Structural Engineering team as a Design Consultant in the South Burlington, Vermont office. In this role, Ryan will support VHB’s structural engineering team on bridge and structures projects throughout Vermont and New England. Prior to joining VHB, Ryan was an Assistant Project Engineer with Siefert Associates, LLC. Where he gained experience creating working drawings and structural calculation packages for contractors while working on a variety of infrastructure projects in the greater NYC area. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont and is a certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
